HISTORY

The vision for the White Field Crusade began with John 4:35b, “Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest.”

In 2003 this vision became a reality as Calvary Chapel of Puerto Rico hosted the first White Field Crusade at the Centro de Bellas Artes in Guaynabo; the focus of the crusade being to reach the community with the good news of Jesus Christ. At the crusade, several Christian musicians including Rodrigo Rodriguez, and bands, “Lion of Judah," "KNS," and the "Calvary Praise Band,” led worship and shared special music. Following this, Pastor Jim Cymabala from the Brooklyn Tabernacle in New York shared the gospel message. At the altar call that evening many people went forward to accept Christ for the first time or to rededicate their lives to Christ.

In 2004 the White Field Crusade grew from two nights to three nights, and several special guests from the United States shared at the crusade including Pastor Lloyd Pulley from Calvary Chapel of Old Bridge in NJ, classical guitarist Rodrigo Rodriguez, and wrap artist “Shift P.” In addition, several local guests shared during those evenings including bands “Lion of Judah, S.S., Kionono,” vocalists Shirley Lo Presti
and Lourdes Toledo, and actress Gladys Rodriguez.

In 2005 the White Field Crusade grew once again adding a kiddie crusade on the Saturday morning of the crusade. The White Field Crusade featured both youth nights, family nights and a kiddie crusade, all designed to reach different members of the community specifically. In 2005 we had the support and help of many churches including, Calvary Chapel of New Jersey, Calvary Chapel Castle Rock, Calvary Chapel of Miami and several local churches on the island. Our main speaker was Pastor Dan Crespo from Calvary Chapel of Puerto Rico. We also had special guests all the way from California, "PAX217" along with several local artists including "2 Face Flower," "Anaxtasis," "Leon de Judah," "Los Cheveres," "Skaterrestres," "Calvary Chapel Worship band," vocalists: Lourdes Toledo, Michael Rodriguez, Shirley Lo Presti, and actress Gladys Rodriguez. The crusade had an attendance of 5,960 people of which 376 came forward to accept Jesus for the first time or to rededicate their lives to Christ.

The 2006 White Field Crusade took place at the Bellas Artes in Guaynabo on January 19th - 22nd, featuring 3 Youth Nights, 1 Kiddie Crusade and 1 Family Night. A total of 5,420 people were in attendance.

We had several Christian musicians both from the United States and Puerto Rico. Including: Falling Up (all the way from Oregon), Josh Viola (from Rochester, N.Y.), Sarah Crespo, Calvary Chapel Praise Band, Anaxtasis, Radial, Puerta Estrecha, Since You Died, Lourdes Toledo and Shirley Lo Presti. Following the music, videos and announcements, Pastor Dan Crespo from Calvary Chapel of Puerto Rico shared the gospel message, giving people the opportunity to recieve Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Over 500 people responded to this call.

SUMMARY In the past 4 years we have had the opportunity and priveledge to share the gospel with over 15,000 people of which thousands have come to know the Lord. Our desire and vision is to continue to, "know Him and to make Him known!"

Please pray that the upcoming crusades would impact the community for Christ and that there would be a great harvest of souls.
